CommissioningBBC3 lines up stunt dating show

5th March 2010 Commissioning 0 Comment BBC3 lines up stunt dating show

BBC3 has commissioned a pilot of a dating format from Shed Media’s Twenty Twenty that gives jilted lovers a chance to win back their ex-partners.

Head of features and formats at BBC 3 Harry Lansdown has ordered a 30-minute pilot of Date Me Baby One More Time.

“It has a fresh approach from most dating formats, that rely on a relationship that we will never really get to see or enjoy,” he said.

The format sees one-half of a recently separated couple tell their story of love and subsequent heartache. With the aid of the presenter, the person will be helped to arrange a public stunt in which they will surprise their ex and find out if they’ll “date them baby one more time”.

Each show will feature 3-4 stories exploring the relationship from an individual and family point of view.

Sam Whittaker will exec produce the pilot for Twenty Twenty.
