Full Job Description

The News Support Co-ordination team provides professional production and administration support to the news operation.  Working closely with the newsdesk they ensure an efficient and effective deployment of resources within the framework of the news budget. News Support Co-ordinators have outstanding communication and organisational skills. 

The functions of this role include: newsdesk support, resource logistics, programme clearance, autocue, gallery PA function and advanced news coordination. 

This multi skilled team will approach this role in a flexible manner working to tight deadlines in a highly pressured environment, without compromising the quality of their work.  Working as part of a close knit support team, the News Support Co-ordinator will need to show clear commitment to leading, setting and maintaining the exacting standards we require for our News operation using tact and diplomacy at all times.  This role requires a high level of attention to detail with the ability compile and devise rosters for all news staff and undertake gallery PA functions.  You will also be required to keep track of routine News administrative and contract processes, financial systems and accompanying paperwork and have the ability to multi task across a number of different requirements.
