Job Description Working for this International Media Entertainment Group, this role has lots of International exposure. The role sits within the UKs Intellectual Property division and provides the accounting support and consolidates globally revenue streams from their TV shows.
This role is a mix of management and financial accounts and has lots of interaction within the business. Would suit an individual with a larger/international company background, that is experienced in full cycle accounting and is either a finalist or newly qualified. Exposure to a shared service centre environment would be an advantage.
The role:
- Prepare monthly management pack;
- Review & approve month end reconciliations and reports prepared by the SSC;
- Review profitability by show and identify additional billing requirements;
- Calculation of third party royalty accruals;
- Prepare schedules to support interdivisional and external royalty accounting payments;
- Monthly analysis of third party royalty balance sheet account;
- Assist with budget and forecasting process;
- Reconciliation of intercompany/intracompany transactions;
- Assist with half year and year end consolidation packs and statutory audits.
The person:
- Ideally Finalist or Newly Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent);
- Experience gained within a large, international organisation, television would be a distinct advantage;
- Exposure to Shared Service Centre beneficial;
- Proven experience of financial and management accounting;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build solid working relationships;
- Ability to deliver to deadlines
- An understanding of the importance of accuracy.
